Registration: Sign into online here to register for this year’s Summit. If you experience any trouble registering or have any registration questions please call Sue Winters at (970) 300-4838 or email at sue@sageturtledesign.com.
- Upload a high-resolution headshot photo (250px X 375px and 300 dpi minimum) for the AREDAY program and provide a short bio of no more than 140 words.
- Please include your cell phone number you will have with you at AREDAY and your assistant’s contact information (if applicable).
- If you are bringing a spouse or attendee, after you have completed your contact information you will be prompted to register an additional attendee at a discounted rate of $250 for a full-pass to AREDAY.
AREDAY Summit Format:
The 2011 Summit will officially open Thursday morning at the Hotel Jerome in downtown Aspen, and will go through Sunday at noon, complete with roundtables, presentations, panels, conversations, and demonstrations.
The theme for the 2011 Summit is Putting the Green in Green--Monetizing Carbon in the Global Economy. There are six tracks that will guide the conversation including New Energy Finance and Investments; Energy Solutions; Governance and Policy; Climate Literacy Communication; Food, Water and Human Health; and Natural Systems in Jeopardy.. At the conclusion of each day there will be a roundtable with a representative from each track who will join in discussion. Sunday morning, August 21, will feature a faith-based panel to discuss stewardship and communicating climate change impacts. Immediately following this will be the Master Roundtable, which will summarize and streamline the previous days conversations.

- AREDAY Opening Reception: The evening of Thursday, August 18th at the Hotel Jerome.
- AREDAY Environmental Film Series: Book your tickets to come early for this event, on Wednesday, August 17th featuring “Carbon Nation” and Lester Brown’s “Plan B: Mobilizing to Save Civilization.”
- AREDAY Renewable Energy EXPO!: Scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 20 and 21, in downtown Aspen, the Expo is free and open to the public and will feature renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies and green businesses.
- The AREDAY Gala: Scheduled for the evening of Saturday, August 20th at the St. Regis Hotel. We are honored that “The Ocean Elders” will be announcing the launch of their organization at the AREDAY Gala. The group is led by Sylvia Earle, the National Geographic Explorer, and includes James Cameron, Neil Young, Richard Branson, Jackson Browne, and Ted Turner, who bring attention to ocean ecosystem protection and conservation through their various foundations and appearances. More information about this event will be available on the AREDAY website, www.areday.net.
Technical and Presentation Protocol:
For presenters using audio/visual components in your presentation please save your power point or images onto a flash drive.
- Please put the flash drive in an envelope, with your name and the day, time and title of your panel and identify which file on the flash you wish to present.
