OUR MISSION
The mission of American Renewable Energy DAY (AREDAY)
is to promote education and awareness of
renewable energy and energy efficient technologies
as practical solutions to global warming.
Founded in 2004, AREDAY
works in partnership with Sustainable Settings,
the City of Aspen, the Community Office for
Resource Efficiency, Pitkin County, the Intertribal
Council On Utility Policy and the National Renewable
Energy Laboratory to:
• Promote public understanding
and involvement in the local, regional and
national efforts to reduce green house gas
emissions that contribute to global warming
and climate change.
• Identify, encourage and
promote appropriate renewable energy development
locally, regionally and nationally.
• Coordinate fundraising
for selected AREDAY events.
• Supervise and ensure the
completion of all AREDAY event projects.
• Foster cooperative and
mutually productive relationships among
the community and governmental agencies
to accomplish the AREDAY mission.
